The Dodge County School System Guidance Counselor Mission Statement: To guide and counsel all Dodge County Middle School students through academic, career, and life challenges by addressing their social, emotional, vocational, and academic needs.



The purpose of the Dodge County Middle School Guidance & Counseling Department is to provide services to students, parents, teachers, and administrators that will enhance each student’s educational, personal, and social development. Students are assigned a counselor according to their grade level and/or team. If any counselor is unavailable, any student may visit a counselor that is available.

Parental Resource Lists: This list contains links to resources to help your child with an assortment of issues facing children.

Rising 6th Graders Handbook: This handbook is given to each 5th grader when they visit our school at the end of the year.

GACollege 411: This web site is aimed for both students and parents by giving them the tools they need for students to plan, apply and pay for college. Starting with students in 6th grade, counselors will work to help them create a portfolio which will follow them to high school. Included will be an exploration of interests, careers, and colleges, planning high school courses and learning about financial aid. GA College 411
